Are pelvic treatments private?
Yes! We have a private treatment room in a quiet acupuncture clinic. If you feel more comfortable in your home, or you have littles with no childcare and you live in the Salida/Poncha area, we can come to you! Zoom is also an option after an initial evaluation.
Will my insurance cover treatment?
We are out-of-network with most insurance companies. Improving your access to quality care is the reason for our existence. We purposely keep low rates AND we will give you the necessary paperwork for possible insurance reimbursement. Reimbursement is between you and your insurance company. You may also use your HSA/FSA accounts. Unfortunately, due to Medicare rules, we cannot accept Medicare insurance. However, the local hospital does so please contact them for scheduling if you have Medicare.
Do I need a physician order?
No! Colorado is a direct access state, meaning you can come to physical therapy without and order. Some insurance companies may require an order, so if that is the case with your insurance company you may want to have one to submit for reimbursement.
Will you see me for knee, back, neck, or shoulder pain?
Of course. I specialize in pelvic care but I am a trained doctor of physical therapy and can treat any condition.
Can I just come for trigger point dry needling?
You can come for just trigger point dry needling after an initial physical therapy visit. The first visit is an important step to determine if dry needling is right for you and your condition, establish an exercise program, rule out more sinister causes, and is required for insurance reimbursement for dry needling.
